How to Promote Real Estate on Instagram

With the constant rise of social media, and the constant changing and improvement of technology, marketing in any sort of industry is consistently shifting. Realistically, to successfully market in this day in age, it is extremely vital that social media is incorporated, including sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube or others. Specifically, Instagram is a magnificent marketing tool if you are looking to sell anything from a visual perspective. And, in real estate, it is all about the visuals! If you are in real estate, check out some pointers on how you can successfully set up an Instagram account and market your houses in a way where people are practically begging to come view them:

    • First, make sure your account is separate from your personal one. When you are setting up an Instagram for your real estate business, be sure that you completely separate it from your personal social media accounts. You need to ensure that the page is poised, professional and to the point, and does not stray away at all from what you are trying to market.
    • Set your Instagram up as a professional profile. Your Instagram should be set up as a business page, and include all the necessary information that people look for when they visit a business page, including what the company is, your goals, your location, how they can contact you, etc. Your Instagram page needs to be a one-stop-shop for everything they need to know by easily skimming. Think of it as a different way of providing an elevator pitch!
    • Have a creative bio. Your bio on Instagram needs to be creative and unique to you and your business. If you have a tagline, this is a great place to showcase it.
    • Post engaging content with relevant hashtags. Once you begin posting on your Instagram, make sure that the content is engaging, and that you are engaging with followers who reach out to you. Be sure that for every post you are including relevant hashtags in the real estate industry. If you are not sure of which ones to include, do some research on those that have been most successful within the past year.
